Hello all C10 owners!
I wanted to share a simple trick for those who need more height in the boot of the C10.
The situation:
I had to transport a large item (a comfy armchair) and it wouldn’t fit in the boot with the standard configuration. But then I discovered a solution!
The solution: remove the plastic tray!
The boot tray can be easily removed, and this significantly increases the cargo space, both in height and total volume.
How to do it:
- Unscrew the plastic screws - Use a standard screwdriver
- The pin detaches from the screw easily
- Remove the tray
Voilà! Much more space!
Advantages:
- More loading height (without the raised tray)
- More total volume
- Easy to do and to put back
Acoustic considerations:
Some might worry about noises without the tray. In my case, I haven’t noticed any additional noises while driving. The tray can also be reinstalled without screwing it in - it holds perfectly well anyway!
When it’s useful:
- Occasional transport of large items
- Holidays with lots of luggage
- Alternatives to renting a van!
In my case, I avoided having to rent a small transporter. The C10 is truly versatile!
Has anyone else tried this solution? What kind of items have you transported?
