How to reduce the heat in the B10 cabin

With my Leapmotor B10 parked in the sun, I noticed that the cabin and especially the dashboard get very hot. The light colour of the bodywork doesn’t help much, while the large panoramic roof may contribute to the rise in temperature.

I couldn’t pinpoint a particular cause: the heating is basically what you can also find in other cars left in the sun. My main concern was protecting the central screen from prolonged exposure to the heat.

Here’s how I sorted it out:

  • when I park, I lay the sun visor directly on the dashboard to shield the screen and the upper part of the fascia;
  • I leave the windows open by about a finger’s width, but only when the area is safe and no rain is forecast;
  • a few minutes before getting in, I activate the rapid cooling remotely.

With this combination, when I get into the car the temperature is already more bearable and the dashboard remains less exposed to direct sunlight. Of course, leaving the windows slightly open isn’t advisable in unsafe areas or during bad weather.
