I’m looking into fitting a tow bar on the B10, mainly to use a bike rack, and I’ve gathered some interesting information about the setup shown in the video.
The tow bar fitted is made by the Spanish firm Enganches Aragon. For this configuration they quote a maximum vertical noseweight of 74 kg and a towing capacity of 850 kg, which is therefore sufficient for a small 750 kg trailer.
During fitting, the high-voltage system must be deactivated. This is a job that should be entrusted to suitably qualified personnel for working on electric vehicles.
Stripping back the rear trim, the build quality of the B10 turned out to be good, with additional sealant even on the rubber bungs. The finned device visible behind the rear side trim is actually the amplifier for the audio system.
Before going ahead, though, I would still check the towing limits and type-approval shown in the Italian B10’s logbook, as the permitted figures may depend on the version and on national regulations.
