I’ve noted down a useful procedure for changing the cabin filter on the C10 without using tools. You start with the glovebox: you need to open it, press gently on the sides so it drops down a bit, and then unclip the small side stays.
At that point the glovebox slides out and behind it you can see the filter cover. You open it by pressing gently on the clip, take out the old filter and slot the new one in like a cartridge.
The important thing to remember is the direction of the airflow: the original filter has it marked as downwards. If you’re fitting a compatible filter without a clear indication, it’s worth checking carefully before closing everything up.
Then you put the cover back on, refit the glovebox on both sides and reattach the stays. It seems like a fairly straightforward job, especially with pollen and hot weather on the way.
