I found myself on the B10 wanting to stay inside the car with it stationary, without keeping it fully active and without triggering the person detection alert. The problem is that if you lock it from the inside, the car can still detect presence and start sounding the alarm.
I couldn’t work out whether there’s an actual full shutdown option designed for staying on board. From what I’ve checked, the critical point is the presence detection: it doesn’t seem to be fully switchable off, it can only be delayed by up to 8 minutes.
The most practical solution for me was to use camping mode:
- from the main screen, I pulled down the controls bar;
- I looked for camping mode;
- alternatively, I also checked it in the scenarios section;
- once activated, the car is managed in a more suitable way when you stay inside.
Important note: after some updates, the option might not appear in the same place. If you can’t find it in the bar, it’s worth searching for it in the scenarios. If instead you only try to lock the car from the inside, the person detection can still make the alarm sound until a door is opened.
