Suggestions for improvements to Leapmotor B10 software

Hello,
I’ve started putting together a list of bugs and potential improvements for the B10 software to collect and send to Leapmotor later.
We can use this thread to refine it and add new items.
The idea was to send it after the update that should be released in December 2025/January 2026.

Startup Management:

  • Ability to remove PIN even when using only the mobile phone
  • Infinitely long startup time

Bluetooth:

Too unstable in reception range. Sometimes the car locks even just by walking around it, sometimes it doesn’t hear you arrive. We are very, very far from the keyless remote control experience.

I also confirm that on startup, after the latest update, the machine takes several minutes to load the central software…

Hello,

In my opinion, removing the PIN when entering with the smartphone would be too insecure. Imagine, you are near the car on the passenger side and it unlocks, another person gets in and drives away with it.

The boot time the first time you start the car, I believe, is what’s needed for the operating system to start. However, I don’t know how other cars behave.

Regarding the real Bluetooth, sometimes I get close and it unlocks, other times I have to unlock it with my smartphone, the same goes for locking. I’ve noticed it varies depending on whether I approach decisively or linger in the area. I need to do more testing, there’s probably some logic behind it.
However, it’s much more convenient than the card; I would have replaced the latter with the remote control.

I tried, there is no possibility to leave with the car without a PIN and without the NFC card. If you disable the PIN request, you only have one option to be able to leave: tap the NFC card.

This is not an issue with “normal” keyless remote controls. I hope they find a solution because as it is now, it’s really unpleasant.

Besides, even if someone were to steal it, what would they do with it? After the first shutdown, they wouldn’t be able to restart it. And if they are capable of starting it, they could still steal it while it’s parked. Frankly, I don’t see this as a worsening scenario, just a major current nuisance.

I fully agree, the first thing to improve is the startup, then if one wants they can leave the PIN, but with a smartphone, when you open it and get in, once seated, it should “sense” the phone without needing anything else, giving consent with the brake and D to start immediately.

URGENT AND NECESSARY UPDATE

Hello, I would add the ability to associate seat settings with different users, without having to move them each time.
In theory, I think it’s feasible, but I don’t know if there’s any technical obstacle that has prevented it so far.

Those and all the other settings put in place. I don’t see a problem with creating user profiles. Even if it means having to select it with a tap when getting into the car.
